As we leave 2025 behind us and step into 2026, we do so with our eyes open for the world’s crises, but our hearts filled with revolutionary hope.
The capitalist system shows more and more clearly its death throes: climate collapse, war escalations, economic instability, and deepened oppression of workers, women, and all oppressed people. But where capital sees its crisis, we see our opportunity. Year 2026 must be the year for radical movements in Sweden and the world to intensify their mutual struggle for socialism.
We especially salute the militant women’s movement, which with its double oppression bears a key role in the liberation struggle.
We salute the climate activists who realize that no green capitalism can save the planet.
We salute the peace movement which refuses to let imperialist powers push us toward another world war.
We salute all workers who organize against exploitation.
We salute everyone who struggles for a socialist alternative – the only alternative that can free both humanity and nature.
Växjös Gnista enters 2026 with renewed energy and determination. We continue to write, organize and struggle. We continue to expose the lies of capitalism and to build socialist consciousness. We continue to stand in solidarity with all oppressed peoples, from Kurdistan to Palestine, Congo, Sudan, and many more, from the working class in Sweden to revolutionary movements all over the world.
We wish you all a militant year – a year of struggle, organizing, and victory! Forward toward socialism!
